Can We Auto-Correct Humanity?

I came across this video last year, it’s called ‘Can we auto-correct humanity?’ This video leads me to realize the irony in our ‘stimulating’ technology. A YouTuber and artist called Prince Ea, he speaks about how humanity has taken a turn because of our technology. He put the reason why the video was made on the video description ‘Why I refuse to let technology control me. You need not delete your social networks or destroy your cell phones, the message is simple, be balanced, be mindful, be present, be here. :)’. Prince Ea said many things that caused me Goosebumps because there were things that I can relate to and am sure many from the over 11 million viewers can too.

‘Kind of ironic ain't it, how these touch screens can make us lose touch’ ‘I asked a friend the other day lets meet up face to face, they said alright, what time you want to Skype? I responded with OMG Srs with a bunch of SMH’s and I realized what about me… do I not have the patience to have a conversation without abbreviation this is the generation of media overstimulation’.

Have we ever stopped and thought about the irony in technology? The fact that we became addicted to electronics and it leads to affecting our lives and environment. Communication over the years has become short and more succinct. I know that technology helps spread his next of communication, for example, you can track your old friends now and even talk to a family member who is not in the same country as you on the other hand technology has made us more selfish and conceited, is it because the ‘ipads’ ‘iPod’ ‘phones so many I’s but yet not enough We’s and Us’.
