My own manifesto
A Manifesto
A manifesto means a published written statement that will describe the policies, intentions, opinions and goals of a person, group, government or political party. The world manifesto comes from the Latin manifestus, manus means hand and festus to thrust; it means to make it plain, display, noticeable, not hidden and to easily understand. In relation to art, it would mean a public declaration of motives, intentions or views from an the artist or artistic movement, such as various movements in modernism; manifestos featured in various movements in the modernist avant-garde.
A manifesto's form and structure; the aim is to write and give a visual form of a well thought personal opinions about some issues, for example some issue's in graphic design. Your opinion should be between theory and practice. It should be short texts, evidence is not too important.
My Short Manifesto
- Research- Research is important, especially to graphic designers. We should always research before starting, this could open more doors to inspirations, other designers experiences and what has already been done. When i have done your research, i can always go back to it.
- Always be organised- Being organised can help getting things done faster. This approach can save up time. Recording deadlines and teaching sessions. A target list that will need to done every week.
- Pushing limits- Even when it looks complete, try different solutions. A work is finished when nothing more needs to be added.
- Rechecking- Double check your work for mistakes my may have done and this includes grammar and mistakes i may have done in my design e.g. wide tracking on text or design of page layout.
- Reflection and analyse- Reflection is the key to constructively think about my work, to bring in ways to improve them.
