Adobe Photoshop

Animation Timeline

Animation gif on Photoshop, have multiple images above each other to make a moving image film.  As a graphic designer I will probably be asked to make a animation gif in the future, as in advertisement.

The first thing we looked at is how to make animation gifs with different frames. Then we looked into different levels in timeline animation Photoshop, different techniques that may be useful for me called hand drawn animation scans, video layers and video rotoscope.

The first thing I did was create a very simple animated gif, as you can see above, I used Photoshop, the width was 300, height was 100 and pixel aspect radio had to be used.  I clicked on window, timeline; create a frame animation, which is used to produce a gif.  The animation does not like the background layer, so it had to be disposed while another ones were created, thus to the layer being transparent.

I moved on to creating 10 layers, something different in each layer. I made them simple; we did not have much time to make them look appealing. Select all the layers and then click create frame animation and click toolbox, make frame layers. I am able to slow down the seconds, I selected 0.1 seconds, I learned that if I were to crate a banner for advertisement it would be 0.5, each text would be shown slower which allows the viewers to read.  Traditional animation work in 24 frames per second.

I settled out my animation gif in the composition, I would of preferred to make it more appealing. When I was done I saved it for web and this is my outcome.
