After Effects

Today in After Effects session, I was asked to bring in a series of photographs I took, and I brought along a couple of photographs I took around Huddersfield with an audio clip to create a 10 second video in a trailer film style. To begin with we had to import any audio files that have a copywriter and put them together to create the audio for the trailer. I used one from a website called sound cloud, it was called End of Summer by Katsuhiro Nagasawa.

I began to import my photos on to Photoshop to edit them. I cropped the image down to a certain size so it could fit the composition on the after effect. So all my images fitted the key frames above, showing that I maintained the structure that was created in the plan. I also edited the quality of the image by contrasting the color and changing the hue.

After this we moved on the importing the audio file to the video. we then listened back through it and created key points in the audio every time we heard a specific beat. The gaps were quite consistent as you can see from the last image. With these gaps we then created clips of block colour to plan where the images would go when imported.
