Sainsbury's OFFICIAL Christmas 2014 Advert
This is a Sainsbury's Christmas advert, inspired by a real event of the World War One from 100 years ago . The advert initially depicts loneliness, fear then to happiness and love as we know Christmas should be. The advert shows the audience despite them being in a war zone, the idea of togetherness and sharing should never be prevented during Christmas. Sainsburys are selling the chocolate the soldiers share among-st themselves. This advert supports The Royal British Legion.
There was many people that were moved by the advert and sympathize have in as there were many who despised the idea of the advert and it became controversial. The reason it has became controversial is because there are other viewers who are were insulted and consider that Salisbury is trying to make a profit off the war were many have died.
It was like watching a short touching and very inspiring movie. I see this advert as a tribute to the brave warriors from 100 years ago who couldn't enjoy the festival season as they usually did but managed to be briefly happy and share their happiness with their 'enemies'. I think that this advert makes you wonder about that particular day more than Christmas and Sainsbury food itself.
